Download FTP Voyager

Note: Access to the AT&T Worldnet PWP servers from another ISP is now available. Read the information in our PWP FAQ for additional information. This latest version of this application supports the SSL needed to access the PWP servers from another ISP.

The instructions on this page will show you how to configure FTP Voyager for an SSL connection. This can be be used from another ISP and with an AT&T Worldnet connection.

Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.

Setting up the Profile Manager

  1. Launch Voyager. The first screen that you are shown is the Profile Manager. You will need to set it up to upload your pages. You will only need to do this once. Each time after that, just click the Connect button.
  2. On the left-hand side of the screen, find the folder labeled Personal Sites and open it.
  3. Click the New Site button.
  4. Fill in the sections on the right.
    • Name: Enter in a name you want to use to distinguish the site you are creating.
    • Description: Give the site a description.
    • FTP Site: upload.att.net
    • Default directory: Leave this area blank.
    • User ID: This is your e-mail ID, the part to the left of the @ in your e-mail address.
    • Password: This is your e-mail password.

  5. Click the Advanced button.
  6. Select the Connection option.
  7. Put a check mark next to the PASV option, and remove the check mark from Connection Saver option. Do not change any other settings here..

  8. Select the Security option.
  9. From the Connect Using drop-down menu, choose SSL Explicit Encryption (AUTH SSL). In the Port field, enter 21

  10. Click the OK button.

Publishing your site with FTP Voyager

  1. Click the Connect button.
  2. After you are connected to upload.att.net, your screen will look like this. There are three sections to Voyager.
    • The top section is your PWP Directory. Here you will see a list of everything in your directory.
    • The middle section is your hard drive. Here you will see a list of everything in your hard drive. For most people this is C:
    • The bottom section shows the status of your connection to upload.att.net

  3. Go to the middle section and find the folder where your files and images are located.
  4. Find the files and images you want to upload and highlight them. Drag them to the top section (upload.att.net) and drop them in the folder you want them to go to. This will start the upload process to your directory.
  5. You can always view what is happening in the bottom section. When the upload is complete your new files and images will appear in the directory on the top section. This will verify that your files uploaded correctly.
  6. When finished, disconnect from the site. To disconnect, from the Tools menu, choose disconnect.

Congratulations! You have just published your Web page.

To backup your Web site just reverse the publishing procedure and transfer the files from the AT&T Worldnet personal Web server to your hard drive.
