Get-It FTP and PWP @att.net
The following are instructions for configuring BeatWare's Get-It 2.4 FTP client to connect to AT&T Worldnet Service's PWP.
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
- Launch Get-It. The opening connection dialog box will appear. Fill in the following information:
- Hostname: upload.att.net or upload.worldnet.att.net
- Username: your e-mail ID (the part before the @ in your e-mail address)
- Password: your e-mail password.
- Click on the Save button and enter a name to remember the connection information. Once you've chosen a name, it will appear on the list on the right of the connection screen. From this point on, all you'll need to do is click on this name to recall the information.
- Click on the Connect button. After you login, you're presented with the standard four-pane window setup of most FTP clients. The left side is your local computer and the right side is the PWP server. Just transfer and manipulate files as needed. To publish, transfer the files from your hard drive to upload.att.net. To backup your Web site, do the reverse.
If you've followed the instructions exactly and are having problems uploading, try the troubleshooting steps in our PWP FAQ.
