Download Anarchie/Interarchy and PWP @att.net

Now that you've created your Web page, you need a way to get it uploaded to your AT&T Worldnet Service Web site. This application will take care of it for you. You can also use Anarchie/Interarchy to backup your Web site.

Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.

  1. To prepare to upload your pages to AT&T Worldnet Service, you may find it easier to store all your Web pages in a folder labeled Uploads (or, less elegantly, Stuff for Web site as shown below). At any rate, make sure you know where they are located on your hard dive. Now connect to AT&T Worldnet Service with your dialer. Once connected, double-click on the Anarchie icon. You are now ready to begin your uploads.

  2. From the FTP menu, choose the FTP. The Get via FTP window will open. Make sure the get listing option is selected. Fill in the other appropriate information as required.
    • Server: upload.att.net or upload.worldnet.att.net
    • Path: The location of your files on your hard drive.
    • Username: your e-mail ID (the part to the left of the @ in your e-mail address)
    • Password: your e-mail password.

  3. At this point, you should be successfully connected to the AT&T Worldnet PWP servers. A window open that displays your files like personal.htm or index.htm (unless this is the first time you are uploading files to you directory, in which case it will be empty). It may also include directories if you have created them.

  4. Now you are ready to place your files on the AT&T Worldnet Service Web server. To do this, drag the icons of the files you want to upload from your hard drive or other Macintosh disk to the your PWP directory window as shown below. If you want the files in a directory you have created, double-click on the appropriate PWP directory icon to open it; this will open another window for the specific directory, to which you can drag and drop files. To backup your Web site just reverse that procedure and transfer the files from the AT&T Worldnet personal Web server to your hard drive.

  5. During the course of the transfer, you will see a window showing that each file is being transferred (a small animated kangaroo running in place also alerts you that this is going on). Once the transfer is completed, you may quit Anarchie. You are finished!

If you've followed the instructions exactly and are having problems uploading, try the troubleshooting steps in our PWP FAQ.

Now, send messages to all your family and friends to come view your creations.
