Linux/KPPP and AT&T Worldnet Service
KPPP is installed by default in the KDE desktop environment. As long as KDE is installed, you can use KPPP even if you use an alternate desktop environment as your default such as Gnome or Ximian.
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
Before Installation:
- If you need assistance to get your modem installed and/or configured, please see the modem How To at:
Modem-HOWTO - If your modem is a winmodem, check out the following page for information on getting one of these to run under Linux.
Linux Winmodem Support - Print out your account information while still in Windows for reference when you boot to Linux.
- If your machine is a dual boot, you can get your modem information from Windows. To find this information in Windows, look under Control Panel and select Modems.
