AT&T DSL Service 3.1 Installation

To install and configure AT&T DSL Service 3.1:

  1. Click the button in the center of the screen to begin the installation process.

  2. Click the Next button to continue the installation.

  3. Read the warranty. Select the I have read the warranty information option and click the Agree button.

  4. Click the Next button to continue.

  5. The installation process will begin.

  6. Enternet (PPPoE) software will now be installed unless you are using Windows XP. Click the Next button to continue.

  7. You have two choice for installation:
    • Quick Install (accept default settings). If you chose this method you can skip the next few steps and click the Next button and go to the EnterNet 300 Setup.
    • Step-By-Step Install (let me choose my settings)
    Click the Next button to continue.

  8. Click the Next button to continue.

  9. Click the Yes button to continue.

  10. Select the appropriate destination folder and click the Next button to continue.

  11. Files will be copied to your computer.

  12. Files continue to be copied, registry entries are created and drivers installed.

  13. Click the Finish button to restart the computer.

  14. After the restart, the software will configure Microsoft Outlook Express. Click the Next button to configure Microsoft Outlook Express to work over the AT&T Worldnet DSL connection.

  15. If the software cannot find your account information, you will have three options to choose from:
    • If you are an existing AT&T Worldnet customer:
      1. Select the You Registered for AT&T DSL Service when you were an existing dial-up customer of AT&T Worldnet Service option and click the Next button to continue.

      2. Click the Browse button to locate the AT&T Worldnet Dial Software. Click the Cancel button to return to the previous options screen.

    • If you registered over the phone:
      1. Select the You registered for the service over the phone and/or wish to enter account information manually option and click the Next button to continue.

      2. Enter your information manually and click the OK button. Click the Cancel button to return to the previous options screen.

    • If you registered on the Web:
      1. Select the You Registered for AT&T DSL Service on the Web as a New AT&T Worldnet customer option and click the Next button to continue.

      2. Click the Browse button to locate the downloaded program file. Click the Cancel button to return to the previous screen.

      3. Locate the downloaded program file and click the Open button.
  16. Click the OK button to continue.

  17. Click the Install and Configure button to download a file to the computer that will update the registry and configure Microsoft Outlook Express.

  18. You will be shown the status of configuration.

  19. You'll be notified that Microsoft Outlook Express and Microsoft Internet Explorer will be configured. Click the OK button to continue.

  20. Done! Click the Exit button to end the registration process.
