Referer Errors When Using AT&T Webmail

There is an issue with Norton Internet Security 2003/2004 and AT&T Worldnet Service Webmail. When attempting to empty the trash in AT&T Webmail, you get a Referer error.

Correcting the Referer errors in:

• EZ (Zone Alarm)
• Norton Internet Security 2003
• Norton Internet Security 2004
• Norton Internet Security 2005

Correcting Referer Errors in EZ (Zone Alarm):

To allow cookies:

1. Open EZ from the System Tray.
2. In the left panel, click Privacy.
3. Switch the Cookie Control to Off.

If you do not want to allow all cookies:

1. Open EZ from the System Tray.
2. In the left panel, click Privacy.
3. In the right panel, select the Site List tab.
4. Click webmail.att.net
5. Click the Options button.
6. On the Cookies tab, uncheck the Remove Private Header Information option.
7. Click the OK button and then exit the EZ (ZA) settings screen.

Correcting Referer Errors in Norton Internet Security 2003:

1. Open Norton Internet Security.
2. Click on Options and select Internet Security.
3. Select the Web Content tab.
4. Click the Add Site button.
5. Type in att.net and click the OK button.
6. Select att.net from the list on the left, and select the Global Settings tab.
7. In the Information About Visited Sites section, uncheck Use default settings, and select the Permit option.
8. Click the OK button until you are back to the main Norton Internet Security window. Exit the program.

1. Open Norton Internet Security.
2. Select Ad Blocking from the list.
3. Click the Configure button.
4. Click the Advanced button.
5. Click the Add Site button.
6. Type in att.net and click the OK button.
7. Select att.net from the list on the left, and then select Global Settings tab.
8. In the Information About Visited Sites section, uncheck Use default settings, and select the Permit option.
9. Click the OK button until you are back to the main Norton Internet Security window. Exit the program.
