Referer Errors When Using AT&T Webmail
There is an issue with Norton Internet Security 2003/2004 and AT&T Worldnet Service Webmail. When attempting to empty the trash in AT&T Webmail, you get a Referer error.
Correcting the Referer errors in:
- EZ (Zone Alarm)
- Norton Internet Security 2003
- Norton Internet Security 2004
- Norton Internet Security 2005
Correcting Referer Errors in EZ (Zone Alarm):
To allow cookies:
- Open EZ from the System Tray.
- In the left panel, click Privacy.
- Switch the Cookie Control to Off.
If you do not want to allow all cookies:
- Open EZ from the System Tray.
- In the left panel, click Privacy.
- In the right panel, select the Site List tab.
- Click webmail.att.net
- Click the Options button.
- On the Cookies tab, uncheck the Remove Private Header Information option.
- Click the OK button and then exit the EZ (ZA) settings screen.
Correcting Referer Errors in Norton Internet Security 2003:
- Open Norton Internet Security.
- Click on Options and select Internet Security.
- Select the Web Content tab.
- Click the Add Site button.
- Type in att.net and click the OK button.
- Select att.net from the list on the left, and select the Global Settings tab.
- In the Information About Visited Sites section, uncheck Use default settings, and select the Permit option.
- Click the OK button until you are back to the main Norton Internet Security window. Exit the program.
Correcting Referer Errors in Norton Internet Security 2004:
- Open Norton Internet Security.
- Select Ad Blocking from the list.
- Click the Configure button.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Click the Add Site button.
- Type in att.net and click the OK button.
- Select att.net from the list on the left, and then select Global Settings tab.
- In the Information About Visited Sites section, uncheck Use default settings, and select the Permit option.
- Click the OK button until you are back to the main Norton Internet Security window. Exit the program.
Correcting Referer Errors in Norton Internet Security 2005:
- Open Norton Internet Security.
- Select Privacy Control from the list.
- Click the Configure button.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Click the Add Site button.
- Type in att.net and click the OK button.
- Select att.net from the list on the left, and then select the Global Settings tab.
- In the Information About Visited Sites section, uncheck Use default settings, and select the Permit option.
- Click the OK button until you are back to the main Norton Internet Security window. Exit the program.
