Thunderbird

Mozilla Thunderbird is a stand-alone e-mail client and newsreader, with several other useful features such as Junk Mail control and message filtering. The following instructions are for creating a news account for AT&T Worldnet Service.

Note: If you wish to post to newsgroups you will also need to set up Thunderbird for e-mail use.

To configure Thunderbird for news:

Launch Thunderbird.
From the File menu, select New, and then choose Account. The Account Wizard will open up.
Select Newsgroup account. Click the Next button.
Enter your name and e-mail address in the appropriate fields. Click the Next button.
Select the Newsgroup Server field, enter netnews.worldnet.att.net and click the Next button.
Choose a name for this account. Click the Next button.
Review your settings in the next window, and then click the Finish button. Mozilla Thunderbird is now configured.
