To paste header information into a message:

  1. To open a message to be forwarded, either highlight the message and click the Forward button
    - or -
Right-click the message header and select Forward as shown below.
    forward
  2. Right-click the body of the message above the original message and choose Paste. This will paste the headers into the message.
    send
  3. Forward the message to the appropriate domain. You'll find additional information on fighting SPAM on our Fighting Junk E-mail (aka SPAM) page.

The SPAM used in this example is NOT one that should necessarily be forwarded to abuse@att.net. If the SPAM was sent using an AT&T Worldnet account or refers to a page hosted by AT&T Worldnet Service, THEN, you should forward the message to abuse@att.net.

Note: If the SPAM got past the Brightmail E-mail Screener, you should also forward the message (including the headers) to missed-spam@att.net. You probably won't receive an acknowledgment of any forwarded messages, but be assured they are used to build better rules to help improve the E-mail Screener.
