Outlook XP
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
To configure Microsoft Outlook XP for e-mail:
- Launch Microsoft Outlook.
- From the Tools menu, and choose E-mail Accounts.
- Select the action that you would like to take:
- Add a new e-mail account
- View or change existing e-mail accounts

- Choose the Next button.
- Based on what you chose in the previous step:
- If you chose to add a new account, choose POP3 for the server type and click the Next button.

- If you chose to view or change an existing account, highlight the account you want to view and click the Change button.

- If you chose to add a new account, choose POP3 for the server type and click the Next button.
- These boxes should be completed as follows:
- Your Name: Your Name
- E-mail Address: Your e-mail address
- Incoming mail server (POP3): postoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mailhost.worldnet.att.net
- User Name: Your e-mail ID (the part of your e-mail address before the @ sign)
- Password: Your e-mail password

- Click the Test Account Settings button to see if your account is setup correctly. If you need to change other Internet E-mail Settings not shown above, click the More Settings button. If everything works, click the Next button.
- You're finished, so click the Finish button.
Additional Settings
General
Under this tab, you can set a name for your account. Anything else under this tab is optional.
Outgoing Server
The information under this tab should be left blank if you're accessing your AT&T Worldnet e-mail through an AT&T Worldnet connection.
Connection
If you're accessing this account through an AT&T Worldnet connection, select the Connect using my phone line option. For Modem, choose AT&T Worldnet.
Advanced
Leave the Server Port Numbers on the Advanced tab as shown below. Set the rest according to your personal preference.
- Incoming server (POP3): 110
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 25
Click the OK button to save your settings.
