Outlook 2003 - For High-speed Connections & Other ISPs
Accessing your e-mail from another ISP requires an application that supports SSL. Note: You can't use the Norton 2000/2001 e-mail virus check while downloading with a server that requires SSL. Please read this additional information.
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
To configure Microsoft Outlook for For High-speed Connections & Other ISPs:
- Launch Microsoft Outlook.
- From the Tools menu, choose E-mail Accounts...
- Select the Add a New E-mail Account option. Click the Next button.
- Select the POP3 option. Click the Next button.
- Click the Add... button.
- Fill in the following information:
- In the Your Name: field, enter your name.
- In the E-mail Address: field, enter your e-mail address.
- In the Incoming Mail Server (POP3): field, enter ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): field, enter imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- In the User Name: field, enter your user name (everything before the @ in your e-mail address).
- In the Password: field, enter your password
- If you do not wish to be asked for your password when getting mail, select the Remember Password option.
- Click the More Settings... button.
- Select the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Log on using options.
- In the User Name field, enter you full e-mail address (i.e.: emailid@worldnet.att.net).
- In the Password field, enter your e-mail password.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- In the Incoming Server (POP3) field, enter 995
- Select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) option.
- In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, enter 465
- Select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) option.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button. You are done!
