IncrediMail - For High-speed Connections & Other ISPs
Note: You must be using at least build 814 of this application to use it to get your e-mail from another ISP. Also, you can't use the Norton 2000/2001 e-mail virus check while downloading with a server that requires SSL. Please read this additional information.
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
To configure a new account:
- With IncrediMail open, from the Tools menu, choose Accounts.
- Click the Add button to add your new e-mail account.
- Select the Let me configure settings myself option, and click the Next button.
- Enter your name and your e-mail address. Click the Next button.
- Enter the server information as follows, and then click the Next button.
- Incoming mail server: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Outgoing mail server: imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Enter the server information as follows, and then click the Next button.
- Username: Your e-mail ID (the part before the @ sign)
- Password: Your e-mail password
- You'll see this window while your servers are being verified.
- After the servers are verified, you'll see this window. Click the OK button.
- You aren't finished yet. You have to set the options to use SSL for the servers. Continue with Account Properties below.
To review account properties:
- With IncrediMail open, from the Tools menu, select Accounts.
- Highlight your e-mail account, and click the Properties button.
- Select the General tab:
- Account Name: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Display Name: Your Name
- E-mail address: Your e-mail address
- Reply address: You can leave this blank
- Include this account when receiving mail: Checked
- Select the Servers tab:
- Incoming mail server: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Outgoing mail server: imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Username: emailid (the part before the @ sign)
- Password: Your e-mail password
- Check the My server requires authentication option and click the Settings button.
- Select the Log on using option, complete the information as follows, and then click the OK button:
- Username: emailid@worldnet.att.net
- Password: Your e-mail password
- Select the Advanced tab. This should show the ports as follows:
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465
- Incoming mail (POP3): 995
