SpamKiller
This document contains instructions for using SpamKiller 2.0 with AT&T Worldnet Service. For technical help with SpamKiller, visit their Web site.
To configure Spamkiller:
- Click the Accounts button

- Click the Add button.
- General tab:
- Description: The common name you want this account to show up as on the accounts list
- Real Name: Your name
- E-mail Address: Your AT&T Worldnet Service e-mail address
- Type: choose Internet mail
- Server tab:
- POP3 Server Name: postoffice.worldnet.att.net
- User Name: The part of your e-mail address before the @
- Password: Your e-mail password
- SMTP Server: mailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Connection tab:
- Type: choose dial up connection
- Dial-up: Check the box that says, If not connected, dial up using: and select AT&T Worldnet Service from the drop-down list.
- Checking tab:
- Schedule: In the schedule section, you decide how often you want SpamKiller to check your mailbox for spam.
- Additional: You have two options in this section. You can choose to have SpamKiller check your mailbox as soon as it is started up or you can choose to have it check your mailbox as soon as you connect to AT&T Worldnet Service.
- The Events tab is where you can specify different sounds to play when different kinds of mail is received. SpamKiller installs configured with a few default sounds. This is the tab to use if you would like to change them.
- Now that your account is set up, the next thing you'll want to do is check to make sure this all works. Click the Check button and it will check your mailbox for spam and give you a preview of what else you have waiting.
