Configuring Eudora for AT&T Worldnet E-mail
Note: These instructions will only make the changes required to let you send and receive e-mail. Once you've successfully received your mail, it's worth the trouble to review the other options and set up Eudora to suit your preferences.
To configure Eudora:
- Launch Eudora.
- From the Special menu, choose Settings.
- Click the Getting Started icon.
- Fill in the settings as follows:
- In the Username field, enter your User ID (everything before the @ symbol in your e-mail address).
- In the Mail Server field, enter ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- In the Real Name field, enter either your name or whatever pseudonym you wish to use.
- In the SMTP Server field, enter imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Leave the Return Address field blank.
- Click the Checking Mail icon.
- The settings here are auto-populated. Verify that the Mail Protocol is set to POP and that Authentication is set to Passwords. Select the Save Password option if you don't want to be prompted for a password when you check for mail.
- Click the OK button.
- You are now set up to send and receive AT&T Worldnet e-mail.
