EntourageX for Macintosh - For High-speed Connections & Other ISPs
Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.
To add an e-mail account for For High-speed Connections & Other ISPs:
- From the Tools Menu, click Accounts.
- From the Mail tab, click New.
- The first of several Account Set-up Assistant windows will appear. Type your name in the space provided. This is the name that users see when they receive messages from you. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.
- In the Internet E-Mail Address window, check the first option (I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use) and type your e-mail address as illustrated below. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.
- In the Mail Servers window complete the following, then click the arrow to advance to the next screen.
- Server: Leave the default POP
- Incoming mail server: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: imailhost.worldnet.att.net
- In the Account ID and Password dialog box complete the following field and then click the arrow to advance to the next screen.
- Account ID: E-mail id@worldnet.att.net
- Password: E-mail password
- Save password: This is checked by default; uncheck the box only if you want to enter your password each time you receive messages
- In this window, type a name for the account in the space provided. This is simply a display name and can be whatever you want to identify the account. Check the Send & Receive box if you want this account included in your Send and Receive Schedule. Click Finish.
- Your new e-mail account will now appear in the Accounts window. Click the Edit button.
- The Account Settings window appears and shows all the information
that you just entered for this account. Click the Advanced Receiving Options button as shown below.
- In this window, check the This POP service requires a secure connection option and the correct port number (995) will automatically appear. Close the window by clicking in the box in the upper left corner.
- The Account Settings window will reappear. This time you want to click the Advanced Sending Options button.
- In this window, select the first four options. Next to the Override default SMTP port option, you will have to manually enter 465. Close the window by clicking in the box in the upper left corner.
- Once again, you will be returned to the Account Settings window. Click the OK button.
- Close the Accounts window and your new e-mail account is ready for use.
