iChat and AT&T Worldnet Service

To configure iChat:

  1. Launch iChat.
  2. Click the Continue button.

  3. Enter your first and last name in the appropriate fields. You can, for privacy sake, use an alias.
    • To use a Mac.com Account (the default):
      1. In the Account Name field, enter your Mac.com account. name
      2. In the Password field, enter your Mac.com password.
    • To use an AIM Account:
      1. From the Account Type drop-down menu, choose AIM Account.
      2. In the Account Name field, enter your AIM account name.
      3. In the Password field, enter your AIM password.
    Click the Continue button.

  4. Select the Do not use Rendezvous messaging option. Click the Continue button.

  5. If you have an iChat compatible camera attached to your Mac it will show up here. Video chat will only work on high-speed connections such as DSL and cable. Click the Continue button.

  6. Click the Done button.

  7. Anyone in your OS X Address Book that has a Mac.com or AIM account listed in their contact information will automatically appear in your Buddy List. If you wish to add someone manually; from the Buddies menu, choose Add a Buddy...

  8. There you are, ready to go. Just double-click a buddy to start a chat.
