Opera 6 and AT&T Worldnet Service

Note: You will need to find your AT&T Worldnet Service account information.

To configure Opera:

From the File menu, select Preferences.
Select Start and exit from the menu on the left. Enter http://www.worldnet.att.net in the home page box.
Select E-mail from the menu on the left. Select Use Opera account and click the New button.
Complete the Account information as follows:
- Account name: Use something to identify the account
- Full Name: Your Name
- E-mail address: Your e-mail address
Click the Servers tab and enter the following information:
Incoming:
- Server: postoffice.worldnet.att.net
- Protocol: POP3
- Port: 110
- Username: Your e-mail ID (the part to the left of the @sign)
- Password: Your e-mail password
Outgoing:
- Server: mailhost.worldnet.att.net
- Protocol: SMTP
- Port: 25
Set the remaining tabs according to your personal preferences and click the OK button to get back to the Preferences window.
Click on News in the left menu and enter the following information:
- Default news server: netnews.worldnet.att.net
- Secure: unchecked
Complete the rest according to your personal preferences and click the Apply button to save your settings.
